Personal mediocrity is on my hit list.
I'm aiming right between the eyes so there is no doubt.
Laziness better watch it's back too.

I write books for the world.
I write poems for my wife.
She can share them with you if she wants to.

In my past life I was a sculptor.
After I sculpted my wife and children I promised to never sculpt again.
I did it so my family knew that they were now the masterpiece in my life.
I spent the rest of my years building a house and furniture for them.
I loved it just as much as sculpting.

My life in words:

I have loved. Felt loved.
Hated. Felt hated.
Preferred love.

I've heard about it.
Thought about it.
Lived it.
Wrote about it.
Preferred living.

But enjoyed writing it.
So you can love it...

I don't write to sell.
I write to dwell in my personal bliss.
And feel the kiss of magic from inspiration's lips.
If I focused on the sales.
And focused on the hits.
I'd miss my date with destiny,
in between her hips.

ARTISTS DON'T RETIRE

You must have a room, or certain hour or so a day, where you don't know what was in the newspapers that morning, you don't know who your friends are, you don't know what you owe anybody, you don't know what anybody owes to you. This is a place where you can simply experience and bring forth what you are and what you might be. This is the place of creative incubation. At first you may find that nothing happens there. But if you have a sacred place and use it, something eventually will happen.

The local museum is not enough anymore.

Inject serious money into the Department of Education budget so our students can link with their international counterparts, gain a global perspective, and share it with their peers back home.
